Dr. Gerald “Jerry” Smith, P.C. is a Board Certified orthodontic specialist in Canton and Marietta, GA.
Dr. Jerry is a beloved member of the community. He is a Board Certified Orthodontist which is a very honorable distinction. A native of Marietta, GA, Dr. Jerry graduated from Wheeler High School and Georgia State University (Cum Laude with distinction in Biology). He received his Doctorate degree in Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia graduating 2nd in his class. He pursued two additional years of training in his Orthodontic residency at LSU School of Dentistry. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and has written articles for scientific and clinical journals.
Dr. Jerry believes communication and patient involvement assure the best orthodontic treatment. He believes an informed patient is a motivated patient. He encourages questions, comments, or suggestions at any time.
Dr. Jerry and his wife Becky have six children: Ryan, Ali, Kathryn, Harrison, Jack and Creed. He is an active member of St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, where he has taught Sunday school for 5 years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with his kids, tennis, and swimming.
