Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Smith

Dr. Jerry Smith is an archwire wizard, smile sculptor, and ortho genius who has been perfecting smiles since 1987. As a board-certified orthodontist who is empathetic, energized, and empowering, he is most passionate about healthy oral hygiene. "I'm passionate about ortho because I have seen it change lives in making patients healthier, happier, and more confident," he shares. "We are truly improving the world, one smile at a time."

A native of Marietta, GA, Dr. Jerry graduated from Wheeler High School and Georgia State University (Cum Laude with distinction in Biology). He received his Doctorate degree in Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia graduating 2nd in his class. He pursued two additional years of training in his Orthodontic residency at LSU School of Dentistry. He was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and has written articles for scientific and clinical journals.

Dr. Jerry believes communication and patient involvement assure the best orthodontic treatment. He believes an informed patient is a motivated patient. He encourages questions, comments, or suggestions at any time.

Dr. Jerry and his wife Becky have six children and is an active member of St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, where he taught Sunday school for 5 years. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching baseball, playing pickleball, and swimming.
